Origin: The Surrender Novena originated from the private revelations of Italian priest Father Don Dolindo Ruotolo (1882-1970). He was known for his humility, deep spiritual insights, and powerful intercession. Jesus is said to have given Fr. Ruotolo the words that make up the novena. He suffered much of his life, including living in paralysis for the last ten years before his death. Fr. Ruotolo was a friend and spiritual director of Padre Pio, who also left behind prayers and words that guide people toward surrendering to Christ.
